Shorwell WI meets monthly on the second Monday at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall, Russell Road, Shorwell.
What a busy month June will have been by the time the next meeting comes round. We will have prepared, labelled, & priced our produce and most importantly sold it all at the annual Midsummer Fair. We will have taken our trip to Farringford to hear all about the house which Tennyson lived in, followed by tea at the Pearl Centre. Our new Walking Group and Lunch Group will have met and those involved I’m sure will have enjoyed the company and activity of their chosen group. Our regular ‘Not Just Knitting’ Craft Group will have met twice and four of our WI members will have attended the Federation Annual Meeting to hear topical speakers and the latest WI news.
Our July meeting will be held on Monday 9th July, when our speaker will be representatives from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. The regular bloom of the month competition and raffle will be held and as always there is time to catch up with members and guests during refreshment time. During July the Groups will continue to meet regularly, details available at our meeting.
Guests are always welcome, you don’t have to pre-book, just turn up on Monday 9th July; there’s no charge for your first 3 visits.
