Marty became a founder member of The New seekers a vocal harmony group ho enjoyed worldwide success in the early 70's. Their biggest hit was "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing in Perfect Harmony" which reached number 1 across the globe selling in excess of 7.5 million copies.
The group also represented the United Kingdom in the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest held in Edinburgh where they came a narrow second with the song "Beg, Steal or Borrow".
Marty's talk begins with an introductio to the 60's and 70's discussing the music and fashions of the dayand a brief resume of who the New seekers were with some video clips of some of their hits. We're hoping to persuade Marty to pick up his guitar and sing a song or two and he's happy to answer questions.
